I find that try as I might, I do not seem to be able to transfer
word documents (ebooks) over to the SD Card on my Palm TX.

They constantly go to the Device!

Is this because there is no programme on the Card to accept them?

I have even tried to install the relevant programme (Documents To Go) but it still sends
that to the main Device.

I have 474M of 493.5M on the Card - obviously not getting any real
use!!

Could anyone advise please as to what I am doing incorrectly?

how are you trying to copy it to the card?

I open the card in file browser, drag & drop the files there and it's done

Thanks for your reply.

Actually I do the same, no problem there.

I drag and drop the file over to the Card using the file browser also but
it never turns up on the PDA on the Card, *only* on the main handheld!

The only things that go to the Card appear to be actual software
programmes, no files.

I can't work it out!

Are you using your OS's file browser?
or some windows software bundled with your palm?

if you're using windows, i think you can open the palm from My Computer - the card is there.
I put the SD card in a usb card reader, and drag the files that way.

anyways, what ebook reader are you using? If you start the app on the palm, on there there should be an option somewhere to move books to cards.

i've never used word doc format to store ebooks. Seems the wrong format.

If you are using documents to go, make sure you have downloaded the latest updates for your version, and then check in the desktop client that you have specified the SD card are the destination.
