I got tired of being directed to the horrific mobile version of the tranz metro website when looking up the time of the next train, so i actually did something about it and wrote an app.

It's just been published and you can find it at

Well done on your creation.  I hope you get plenty of takers.

What make of phone are you using? I use the Nokia Public Transport app, that works pretty well.  I'm using Symbian, I'm guessing there's a Windows version.

Great job.

I use Android myself, so am stuck with the terrible official Tranzmetro app which doesn't even work on ICS.

I am sure you will get many downloads!

Just a quick update for everyone. I no longer catch the train or have a windows phone 7 phone, so I've put the code up at https://github.com/C4NCER/Wellington-Trains if anyone wants to make updates. (or fix the bug where it crashes if the phone loses network connection while making a web request ;) ).

The app will stay up on the marketplace and if anyone adds a good code change I'm happy to compile a new version and push it to the market.
