Playing with a telecom BlackBerry Z10 (loving it normally a galaxy note or nexus 4) just can't get the 2 degrees apn to stick.

Other than that really like it.

This is a known problem (to everyone but BlackBerry it seems). I have worked a bit with 2degrees to test this and today I received confirmation from SaltyNZ that this indeed happens this way.

BlackBerry folks in ANZ are adamant this should just work (TM)... As in you should be able to put in the SIM card and have mobile data, but as you've noticed it doesn't.

No idea how, when and if this is going to be fixed.

No it did not "just work" which is a shame because I really like it.

Love;
- gestures
- keyboard
- BlackBerry hub

Don't love
- camera (compared to nexus, iPhone and s3 it fell short)
- app world (reminds me of Android in '08 - side loading android apps is not that nice either)
- no data on 2d obviously

Hi, yes, as Mauricio said, our testing seems to confirm it - a BB 10 device cannot save APN settings with a 2degrees SIM in it. It may be possible with cracked firmware but of course it would not be our official advice for you to do that.

I'll get someone else (probably POB) to make the official statement, but it is unlikely we will ever fully support Blackberry given their market share is heading emphatically down, and the other big three mobile OSes now do mail as well as Blackberry or better.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

have a read of:

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Z10/APN-setting-on-the-BB-z10/td-p/2194047 (look near the end)

there is quite a few suggestions on how to do it. including the engineering screen

It seems like BB (like Apple) have a list of APNs in the firmware but if your SIM Card is not in the list which is built in they hide the ability to change the APN details sometimes.

When you upgrade to 10.2 you can save the APN details. I had the same problem with the Q10.... But alas, I've since found out if you're on 2Degrees you won't ever be able to get BBM working (or the BB logo showing up next to your network indicator) but I was able to get my internet working (browser, App world, email and so forth)
