Greetings all,

I'm relatively new to the whole PDA type thing, and am looking at getting one for entertainment, and a small amount of business use.

At this point, I'm looking at getting a Asus 620 for $600 NZD. (Just the 620, not the 620BT [Bluetooth])

Business wise, I'd be using it once weekly to do stocktakes with, and doing the ST directly to Excel format, then uploading it straight to by bosses desktop.

Entertainment wise, for the odd video / dvd (is it possible to have a PPC version of DivX?) with PPC-WMP, mp3, and game when there isn't much else to-do.

I've read numerous reviews on the 620, which all say it's a good, solid PDA, but would be better if it had the hard aluminum case of the A600 (also known as the 'Zayo' ?), and that it doesn't have a SD or MMC slot, but rather a CF II slot. (Someone explain the difference?)

If anyone has any advice, please do not hesiatate to reply.

Much Obliged,

Torque :)

It sounds all good, but I would go for the SD version if possible. It's a little faster than other flash memory types.

Yes, there are Divx players for the Windows Mobile Pocket PC, and some software allow you to copy your own DVD to a memory card and play on the Pocket PC. A full length movie should fit on 128MB or more (hence on a memory card).

Thanks for the prompt reply. :).

The SD version is a possibility, but is the A600 which runs PPC2002. - Is it possible to upgrade the OS?

I'm not that concerned withwha expansion card is faster to be honest, just the value/storage argument.

The one good thing about CF is it is a good deal cheaper than SD once you get into the larger sizes? How much is the 620? I actually just ordered the A716, and feel that it is a pretty good value.

The A716? I did read the specs on the Asus site about it..... Where abouts did you order it from & how much? The A620 would be $600 NZD.

Cheers for that.....might actually look at getting it!

Edit: Lol, you're in the US...... silly me, that e-store doesn't do international orders. :(
