Hey folks,

Stoked to announce that the Lumia 930 is landing in NZ soon as a Vodafone exclusive. I've had a play with an early unit, and it's very, very nice. Looking forward to a review device landing on my desk (Fingers crossed, anyway!).

Details on the Coming Soon page here. :)

Brushing up on Windows Phone right now, as has been a while since I owned a 920 (Via Murfy & Mauricio, now serving my mother very well). Popped the 8.1 dev preview on a 520, and it's shockingly good for the lowest-end Nokia hardware. Amazing experience for under $200.00.

8.1 adds so many excellent things that the platform really needed - start screen wallpaper, swipe input, the notification centre with toggles for WiFi & GPS - was especially pleased to find there's now a first party file explorer app!

About time to start trawling TradeMe for a secondhand 1520, methinks.

Yes, had a play with one earlier this week (the aluminium one) and it's a very nice device - no Glance screen support though.

Very nice. I own the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 930 is the 5" display size replica of the 1520.

Do whatever you want to do man.

I really can't believe they missed the mark on the glance screen, would buy if it was not for that, guess I will have to stick with my Ativ s for a bit longer, not sure about the 1520 size around 5 inch seems about right for me

Yeah I am a Windows phone fan had a htc touch ,Samsung focus ,now have Lumia 925, looking forward to final release and firmware of phone 8.1 due end of month, preview has been working well, think 4.5inch is my sweet spot this is why the Lumia 925 fitted the bill I got 2 of them from D-outlet $400 each , one for me and one for the miss's , just this last week tested it out on the 4g in Dunedin was surprised over 40mbits d/l very nice :) . Lumia 930 has more grunt but its a bit rich for my blood. still a nice windows phone mind you.

Got my hands on a shiny new 930, and gave both it + Windows Phone 8.1 a review on Vodafone Community for the curious. Photos to come tomorrow. :)
