I have noticed in several magazines that there is a cable that you can connect your cell phone to your pocket pc. Since I have a sanyo phone and a ipaq 1945 I was wondering if that is true. If so where can I purchase one, and if not what can i do without buying a bluetooth cell phone.

I also have an iPaq h1945 pocket pc which supposedly can be only connected to internet via bluetooth technology at this point in time (that is to say - using a bluetooth cellphone and the GPRS system) and the built in bluetooth on this model pocket pc. This is not the news you are wanting to hear - but this is what I understand from all my sources (including HP tech) to be the case.

IF you decide to keep the unit and try to connect via bluetooth phone - note that Sprint cannot help with this as they are on the old cellphone system (technology wise - believe the term is CDMA) - and it requires GPRS instead. Since, I've returned phone Sprint sold me regardless - and have purchased a Motorola V600 cellphone and Cingular service (including their data service). . .and so far their techs have been unable to assist me. I wish you well. If you figure it out - maybe you can let me know something. IF I can get something figured out - I'll be happy to share the info. with you. So far, nothing I've seen has helped me "get there". All the best! I KNOW people are connecting - but the info. is not in the hands of the techs who need to have it (somehow).

Have you had any luck with getting a bluetooth GPRS contection between your IPAQ and your V600? I'm trying to do the same thing between a IPAQ h2215 and a Motorola V551.
