Hello, i have been reading your thread on what is on your pda/ppc

i wish to try out the spb diary or the spb pocket plus before buying.
where would be a safe place to get these from?
which should i try first?
i have found a site pocket pc thoughts that has a trial time is this site ok to use.
and i assume i follow the instructions on the site as to how to download and install the trial items.

also there is no area where i can click that it is for a jasjam.
any pointers to a safe way to try out these applications prior to buying them.

also any pointers on if i download them correctly.
thank you . don't want to mess up my jasjam

Get them from here http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/

I suggest SPB Pocket Plus, Mobile Shell and you can try them for 30days. and definitely worth the money.

As Jasjam is WM5 Pocket PC, and there's only one file/cab (for each software) for WM5 Pocket PC. Can't be any harder than that.

You can download the trial software from our Geekzone Software Store. These are the links for SPB Mobile Shell, SPB Diary and SPB Pocket Plus.

i am just setting it up for nz pxt.  i have downloaded the cab from imate with the nz wireless settings so wish me luck.
it was much easier when i was in aussie and all the stuff was with telstra. but hey its good to be home and if i am stuck i can
always look for the answer here..

goooooo the allblacks.
must admit its nice to be in nz with the world cup on. nothing like being in aussie and supporting the ABs lol

i have looked at the spb items and was wondering if when i use the spb mobile shell how it obtains the information on the weather.
does it need to connect to the interent, is this an additional charge when i use this one. as it would have to update the weather on a regular bases  just a thought. thanks

spb mobile shell's weather is the mini version of the spb weather. Anyway it gets the update when there's an active internet connection (either via WiFi or UMTS). If you haven't got data plan, get on at least the 3MB (for $15) to save yourself from the expensive casual data plan. Trust me, you'd be rather spending $15 than paying high price for casual data. Beside, if you're going to use Jasjam, why not also make sure of its data connection somewhat, afterall, it's a pocketpc smartphone.

thanks for that, at the moment the returning home and setting up home here again and other new expenses the data plan will be in future .. so i can only use items that work on the phone without accessing the internet. or costing more than my basic contract . thanks
