Hello all forum members,

I have a Tungsten T2 that I hotsync via cradle with my home computer (Computer A). Recently, I have also gained access to a cradle at work on a computer of my fellow employee (Computer B). I do not want to hotsync locally on two computers (Computers A and B) and I thought that there must be a way to hotsync via internet to my home computer (Computer A) by using the hotsync cradle and software on Computer B. I am aware of the network hotsync that palm manuals talk about but after reading and following the instructions I cannot get it to work. Is there any software that I need in order for this to work? Can hotsync via internet be done when I am using a cradle? If you managed to get this process to work, can you please post instructions?

I am not behind any firewalls and I do not have any firewalls running.

Thank you for your assistance.

Patrick

You can Network Hotsync using someone's else cradle over the Internet if your computer is visibile, for example if it's not behind a router (or the router does port forwarding) and if the required ports are available thourgh a firewall (if one exists).

If your computer is visibile only within the internal network, then you can Hotsync using someone's else cradle from inside that same network.

I can't help on configuration, because the last time I tested this was a couple of years ago.
