I am looking at getting an ipaq and need some convincing as to the model I should get and also where the best deal can be found.

I basically want it for organisational skills, synching outlook, making appoitments and taking notes etc.

I have looked at the 1930 and dick smith seem to have a really good deal on at the mo $399 is this cheap for this model?

I'd go for the h1940 (Bluetooth) or if willing to spend more the h4150 (Bluetooth and wi-fi).

$399!!! That's the worst rip-off I've seen!!! You can get the 1940 for $279. The best deals are at Costco or Sam's Club (where I got my 1940 last year)

Zuggy, I think red_xsi is talking NZ$, since Dick Smith is an Australian/New Zealand chain. If this is the case, the price is similar to the ones you mentioned, based on exchange rate.
