Well, I've updated my 640 to windows 10. All's working well apart from not been able to text. If I try to text anyone of my contacts I'm told I have to adjust my privacy settings to allow Messinger to access my contacts. So I say yep let's do that, but in the area to change those settings nothing can be changed....everything is grayed out. No apps are able to access the contacts. It seems I've pick a wrong option when updating, but how do I change it?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is the Send on option showing on the compose text screen ????

It should be above the input box for the name of the contact ??

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I don't get that far, if I click on messaging it just says...

can't open messaging
Before we can open the messaging app, you'll need to go to settings privacy contacts and turn on messaging

But when I do it's all grayed out and cant turn anything on.

Fixed with a hard reset.
The whole phone seems more resoponsive now as well, so it's a good outcome.

Cheers ☺
