I cant seem to get the log in details page at the motel im staying in at the moment on my n95.
it works on my laptop, all I do is get to google.com and the motel homepage comes up instead with login and password entry
On n95 it'll go to google.com but no motel page just loads google home page
is the n95 browser(have tried opera mini too) not compatible with the wifi here ?

What I mean is that once you get to goolge on the N95 then can you use it and browse the internet? if so, why would you want to go through the motel page?

Won't be a browser problem, more likely to be with the N95 - if you can get the information from the Hotel to try and manually configure the connection I'd try that. Failing that you could create an ad-hoc wireless network from your laptop and share that with the N95 wirelessly - there is a tutorial on how to set it up at symbian-freak.com

Either option is quite a lot of trouble to go through though, I'd probably just live with using the laptop if at all possible.

What firmware are you on? I used to have a lot of problems when I first got the N95 last April on the V10 firmware, but I can't really remember the last WLAN connection problem I had since getting to the V20 firmware...

I usto get that problem I usto live next to Motels/Hotels when my n95 found the motel i couldnt seem to browse the motel page I think it has to do with a bug in the older firmware i am running on v15 now on my 8gb and i can now surf without any problems You should try to update your firmware I had to change my region code to be able to upgrade cause i am in the States. Hope this helps
