Has anyone tried using a vodem sim card in a n95.
I would like to know because the only other way to get a data plan on a n95 is to put it onto a voice account and get a data plan added on, which would cost an extra $10 a month for the data plan

Did you buy your N95 from Vodafone NZ? If so, I don't see why this wouldn't work. I'm sure if you wander into a Vodafone store they could show you how to do it, they'll probably even let you test it out instore too.

This sounds a little confused to me -  but I'm not sure whether its me or you thats confused. I thought Vodem was the Vodafone Modem, not a SIM card, but a card for your PC or laptop. As far as I'm aware the only way to get a data-plan on the N95 as such is to add one to a plan (unless you want to get a Vodem, then make an adhoc network on your PC and share that connection with the phone - which would mean taking your laptop or PC with you everywhere you).

There is no such thing as a vodem sim. A sim is a sim no matter what device it goes in. If you have a vodem and that sim in the vodem is on a data plan you can put it in any device you like and use the data plan.

Ah, thanks for that!

So it would really just be best to put it in the phone and use the phones bluetooth modem option, rather than carry around additional items? Providing of course that you can live with 100K/s on the bluetooth connection (incidentally Johnr, how much faster would the Vodem connection be?).
