so as time goes on the capacities on these cards is increasing exponentially. exxxxxcellent.... *mr burns hand gesture*

i'm holding out for a 16gig card for my n82 but my 2gig card just stopped working (both in the phone, AND in the adapter into my laptop) so i thought in the mean time i could get an 8gig

the question is: i've heard mention tht some cards are supported and some cards are not, does this mean there is also the possibility that some sizes might not work at all? and which 8gig cards should i avoid purchasing?

Certainly some cards, and some sizes may not work at all.  The best bet would be to check the website for the n82, as there's often a maximum capacity they can handle.  I've stubbled across some good sites that have detailed tests with various brands and sizes.

Stu I can't comment on specific brands, but I have a Sandisk 8 GB card in my N82 and it works well.

I understand the N82 supports the theoretical maximum for SDHC.

Correct. I used my Sandisk 8GB card in the N82 I had on trial from Nokia, works a charm (just as it does in the N95).
