Any idea how to get the Erricsons to sync with Exchange2003, in a similar way that PocketPC devices do, uisng "Mobile ActiveSync"?

You'll probably need some third party software. Intellisync has a server based solution, and Smartner is available as a desktop redirector with monthly subscription or annual subscription.

Smartner seems very good - I've used it for our article on keeping e-mail always up-to-date on Pocket PC.
