G'day guys. I've been lurking around here for a while and learnt allot  and noticed you guys have solved allot of problems for people so i'm hoping you have an easy solution for this.

I recieved a free mC70 motorolla windows mobile which my company gave me to use as a scanner to send off what work i have done.

At startup their program automatically starts up so that i cannot use any other features of the scanner (which i would love to be able to use)

how can i get to desktop? Or disable their crappy program from the startup programs
I takes a few seconds for their program to over-ride which gives me time to click windows media player or somerthing but as soon as i exit that goes to the main program (which was running in the background) and not back to the start screen. Then i have to restart to give me another chance at clicking something. But that often doesnt work.
I've tried alt F4.
I once got into the programs list and looked for the "run" commands thing but couldnt find it.

Can anyone help. Thanks for reading, and if you can help i'll be eternally thankful.

I think it is the intention of your company to hand this device to you for the sole purpose of its business, hence it being locked down.

It could be against the company's policies to unlock it. Better to contact your IT Administrator.

Yeah - theres probably a good reason for locking it down and your IT admins probably won't be too happy with you if you try to circumvent it, particularly if it ends up breaking something. Often they will do things like that for technical reasons rather than for 'Big-Bad-IT-Admins' reasons.

On the other hand... companies should be embracing some things like music and media to the extent that it improves job satisfaction and productivity, but that's something to take up with your boss. Innocent

I think if you look around here this tends to be a place for community collaboration, rather than a place for exploitation of personal/company property.

fair enough.
all i really wanted was to be able to use the organiser on it and maybe the media player.
i think the reason the program overides is because they wanted to keep it simple for us and probably didnt think that some of us might like to use it for some personal things aswell.
It seems a waste since they cost so much.
Anyway i'll keep trying. As long as i dont sabatarge their program there really nothing wrong with wanting to use some of the scanners features
