Please help

I have to say I am a bit of a novice and have to say that because I thought it was too hard to set up so put this on the back burner ..but would love to get it to work

I basically use my Wireless 802.11 Netgear router for three pc's all hard wired and have no problems. My main PC use autodetect and I can get internet access. As for my 3970 I have a Dlink Air attached DCF-660W but have never got it to work. I loaded the CD onto my PC but when I try to connect I get nothing. The challenge is where to get support ie HP, D-link or Netgear and its too hard.

Does anyone have the patience to help me please?

I have a Netgear wireless Router Dg834G an HP IPAQ 3970 with a D-Link DCF 660W wireless adaptor

After much toying upgrading of BIOS and D-Link sofware I have managed to get a wireless connection to the router but then I have no luck in Internet explorer.

I have tried playing with the connection settings of the IPAQ but have had no luck does anyone have any suggestions. When I put it into the cradle connected via USB to my PC I got an internet connection but that is not what I want any ideas?

Send private message

What OS version are you using on this iPAQ? Is it Pocket PC OS 2002 or Windows Mobile 2003? Also, when configure the network adapter, did you select Work or Internet?

Try changing the configuration to be "Internet", first.

All sorted I had to change the WEP setting on my router and on the IPAQ I also put in a manual IP address in the DCF properties window and hey presto
