Now the real question is: does it work on Windows Mobile?

You see, not a hypotetical question, but while Microsoft is happy to make the Exchange ActiveSync available to Nokia, Dataviz, Apple, we don't see much of the other way around.

Looking at the site it only lists Symbian devices. It's an interesting service, but what if I don't have a Symbian device?

Gosh a 1.8MB download on Mobile Data. I just gave Vodafone $20 for that.

On a data plan now, and it only took 3 phone calls (The 3rd to a supervisor) to get this done.

How long after Activesync was released that that was the case??

Still a nice move from Nokia I think.

Does anyone have this working? It just keeps telling me my settings are wrong, but I know they are correct.

You have just changed to a new data plan hope the " * " is back in HLR

Does your handset still connect to net (not wap) phone as modem

Yes, data connection working fine. Once it sets up the mailbox I can connect manually but the application doesnt want to accept the settings so doesnt setup push

After downloading this a number of times (At nearly 2 megs a pop) and messing around with APN settings (Seems to like the "Internet" APN better than the www.vodafone.net.nz one)

HOWEVER it doesnt work very well. I guess that is to be expected as it is still in Beta. Sometimes the emails come through instantly, but more often than not, they don't come through for anything between 5 mintues and 12 hours. Sometimes it takes a reboot of the phone to pull in the latest emails.

Hopefully this improves soon!
