Does windows mobile have flash lite 3 support? Ive seen articles around on the net saying adobe was going to develop it, but nothing more than that.

There isn't Flash Lite for Windows Mobile. There's an old version of Flash for Windows Mobile, but it's not compatible with the latest Flash versions.

ok, thanks for clearing that up.

EDIT
So i kept looking, and found this
http://www.modaco.com/content/xperia-x1-x1-modaco-com/274005/pauls-must-have-free-xperia-x1-software/
"Flash Lite 3.1 for X1 - play YouTube and other Flash content natively in the Opera browser"

Did they change something with the x1?

In 'theory' there is no such 'official' flash lite for winmo as MF mentioned.

However ...
I have managed to get flash lite 3 working with some versions of the Opera Beta browsers however you need a 'cooked' ROM where permissions are less tight (to write etc to the ROM part of the phone OS) ... and you'd need xip and sys from OS Build 20000 and higher

EDIT this is of course for devices that are older, over 1.5 years old Smile

Flash 3.1 is available for some other handsets too, I have it running on my Touch Pro as well as my Xperia - you need to have Opera 9.5 browser builds installed (by that count the Diamond should be able to run it too).

It was a straightforward matter of installation too (installation file over at XDA of course), didn't need cooked ROMs or the like for either of my phones.

You can run flash content direct with the IE browser as long as you throw in some basic HTML to reference the .swf

I had even Youtube's full site operating within Opera a while back but I'd sone something extra to make it work, it was so absurdly slow you don't even want to try it though.

"Flash lite" content will play but on IE the left and right and "left softkey" works from the action button, up and down goes to the address bar. Opera is a similar, not all functions work.
