When clicking on My Computer to see the iPac 4155 I get a "Failed to start Remote Services" message? It says "Critical communications services have failed to start" ? What needs to be done? I cannot get my GPS software to load on the iPac or my Flexwallet PocketPC edition on the iPac either? Both programs are on the PC! The HP iPac people did not know. We tried all the normal ways already. Somebody has seen this before?

To install programs on a Pocket PC you have to execute the installer on your computer while the iPAQ is in the cradle and ActiveSync is connected. It'll copy the appropriate files this way.

You shouldn't need to copy anything manually unless you're copying a .cab file, but you can drop this into the My Document synchronisation folder.

Browsing the contents of your Pocket PC is allowed with the Windows default configuration. If you want to browse the contents of your iPAQ using File Explorer and gets this "Failed to start Remote Services" and have a personal firewall (Zone Alarm, Norton, Sygate) I'd suggest checking its configuration.

Another alternative is that a service was disabled on your computer. Services are special programs started by the OS. If you don't know about a specific service I do not recommend changing any configuration because it can make your computer unusable.
