Its possible your just out of luck... So your saying that if you go to Start | Programs there is no Terminal Services Client listed?

thanks for the quick reply. Yes, there is no Terminal Services Client listed. Just upgraded the rom and haven't had any problems until i wanted to use this for the office to find out it's not there.

I'll make an inquiry, but I would not get your hopes up...

thanks for the help. i've done some browsing and even found someone in the hp forums who's asking the same. problem is, the solution given (download and install an old version of the tsc app) isn't working on wm2k3 se

Try the one I pointed you to...

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/wce/downloads/ppctsrv.mspx

The link you posted is NOT the full blown Terminal Services Client, but a patch file for certain devices...You would apply that if you exhibit the problem of not being able to reconnect a second time to a Terminal Server...

The patch only applies if you have a reconnect problem. Some folks report, and I forget the exact details, problems reconnecting to a Terminal Server a second time. I believe this applies to W2K and W2003 Servers running Terminal Server. I have not seen the problem with my iPAQ 5555 TSC connecting to my XP Pro desktop running Remote Desktop.

So, I would not apply the patch unless you are having the reconnect problem. Its also possible the patch would not work on your device. If you do apply the patch, make a backup of your device first, apply the patch, test and if needed fall back to the backup made prior to applying the patch.

As always, YMMV...

Good luck...
