i tried hot syncing my palm to delete epocrates and this message came up; fatal alert datamgr.c line; 9573, index out of range. there is a button below that says reset, but when you press it the palm does not reset and i have to do a soft reset to do anything on the palm. i've tried reinstalling programs and messing with settings in the hot sync manager but i still get the fatal alert message any time i try to hot sync. please help.

when did you last backup?? is your backup current enough??
if it's okay then do a hard reset and restore - that sometime fixes that kind of mess...

If the hard reset button isn't working for you - then just let the batteries run down and that should instigate the same effect as a hard reset.
