Well, it appears that for some unfathomable reason, Microsoft, in all its wisdom, has seen fit not to include the Journal functions of Outlook on their Mobile version of the software. This is rather problematic for me, as I depend on journaling to keep track of work tasks, and prepare a regular report based on journal entries.

I found out that there may be 3rd party apps that could do it. The question is, which one works?

I've come accross a few, but they all leave me cold at first sight.

Pocket Informant may seem the most promising one, but it actually replaces the native contact/tasks/calendar on the Mobile, which I'd rather avoid. Previous experience where you replace native apps with 3rd party has shown me that in the long run, this causes nothing but trouble.

I've seen CLC Journal, which would appear to be about perfect, except that user reviews are less than favourable, bugs appears aplenty, and worse of all, apparently after-sales customer service is next to non-existant.

Journal Pro/Journal Pro Desktop combo has good reviews, but doesn't synch with Outlook.

I've done my homework, but am left hanging and at a loss. Any suggestion or idea would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hard decision! You've done your homework well, and you have quite a collection of titles there. You now have to decide which one to use... You might have to actually download a trial of each software and use it for a week so and "feel" it.

Thanks for the quick response Mauricio.

It does look like trials is my next step. I was just hoping for more feedback, and potentially, leads into other apps that would do the trick, that I haven't come accross. There *must* be something out there I missed :)

Cheers
