I just got my Dell Axim x50v a few weeks ago and already having a problem. You know that black frame on the bottom containing New,Edit,Tools etc. well that frame is constantly there now it seems to be burnt into the screen. I dont see it behind black but any other color that appears in that area is a discolored line. Its very noticable when I play movies... how long is the standard warrenty again?

Interesting. That bar is always there, and it will change depending on the program you're running at the moment - but it'll never go away.

There's no "burning" on LCD, like on a CRT. Try a soft reset and see if you have it back to normal behaviour.

Perhaps you're seeing a toolbar another program placed there? Are you running any "add-on" program that provides shortcuts?

I just did a hard reset, I even saw the line during the reset startup screen. Its not always the black frame. for example if its a light green background I would see a darker green where the black frame use to be.

Well, if this is the case you should arrange for this unit to be serviced.

If it's a LCD fault I would have no idea... Hope you get it back fast though.
