Hi,

I'm new to the Pocket PC game (in fact I don't even own one yet but will be getting one in the next week or so), and had some questions about the software above.

Firstly, on the website it seems as though the mobile shell is aimed more at the larger screen smart phones (eg HTC Diamonds, Pro's etc) and was wondering whether the functionailty will be just as good on the Palm Treo Pro that I am getting soon?

Secondly, does the 3.0 Mobile Shell come with the Spb Weather weather app or is this a separate purchase (also does anyone have any feedback as to how Spb Weather works in NZ).

Thanks for your help

weather app is included in the spb mobile shell, phone suite however is different. I would suggest go for it, I had it running on my wife's old palm treo 750v

You can always download the trial version and see how it works for you. It's quite handy and brings a lot of functionality you'd otherwise not have.

The weather widget is quite simple when compared to the SPB Weather - if you install SPB Weather it will automatically replace the widget and add more functionality. You can of course get SPB Weather by itself.

SPB Weather works ok in New Zealand.

So sorry, just to clarify, does Mobile Shell come with the weather widget & Spb Weather and you make a choice between the two, or is Spb Weather a separate piece of software.

Good point with the trial, I'll give it a go when I get the phone.

SPB Mobile Shell comes with a weather widget, but it's not as complete as SPB Weather. If you install SPB Weather it will replace the built-in SPB Mobile Shell Widget.
