I am trying to get my 2210 to connect via bluetooth with my sharp 902 handset but with no success.
My previous handset (sharp gx20) was able to be used as a modem for the 2210 via infra red, but I can't get the 902 to connect either by bluetooth or infra red.
If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Are you sure the Sharp 902 supports DUN? I think those Sharp support only handset/headset profiles.

The user guide says that it does, so I'm guessing that the problem lies with something I'm not doing right.

Thanks for the link but it still wouldn't work. Have now given up with the 902 and have changed to a SE S700i which doesn't have any problem connecting.
The 902 should work according to Vodafone. THey just don't seem to be able to make it happen.

Perhaps the problem you had was similar to the Sharp GX30? It was advertised as being fully capable of bluetooth with ALL devices, when in fact it was only capable of talking to headsets.

I believe it's the branded software that puts these limitations on, I think it's absurd.

Yes, it sounds right... Some of these Sharp handsets support only Headset profile...

I think that you're probably right.
I had on trial from Vodafone a SE S700i, SE P910i, SE V800, Sharp GX30i, Nokia 9500 Communicator, Samsung D-500, & a 7100v Blackberry device.
The only bluetooth pairing problems I encountered were when I was using the Sharp equipment, which is a shame as I really like the phones they produce.
But the SE S700i is an excellent phone and probably even better than the 902 in my opinion.
