I just began haveing a problem with the time on my IPAQ 6315 being set 10 minutes behind my desk top after I perform an ActiveSync. I correct the time and it reverts back 10 minutes after the Sync. This only began after the time change last week in MI. Another strange thing began to happen. When I make an appointment in Outlook, then Sync, the appointment on my PPC is also 10 minutes earlier than the original on the desktop. Has anyone ever encountered this and have a fix.
I found out that this is a know problem by HP. There is no current fix, but they did provide me with a work around. The work around is a 2 step process and both must be done before performing an ActiveSync. If not, the problem will become worse by advancing all the appointments in the host's calander. First, in the date and time properities on the PC, UNCHECk the automatically adjuct clock for daylights saving time box. Second, if the IPAQ is located in Eastern Standard Time, set the IPAQ's time zone to Indiana (IN) as they do not observe DST. If in MST set the time zone to AZ. If in CST set the time zone to Saskatchewan, Canada.
