Hi guys, if i put a wifi card in my harrier (which i also regularly use CDMA data on), how will i tell it which connection to use?

Will it automatically use the WiFi connection -if- wifi is available, and then fall back on to CDMA network if required?? (This is how i will want it).

HTC Harrier + Pocket Outlook + WM2003-2nd-ed + undecided brand of wifi card

Yes, Windows Mobile 2003 SE will go through the ActiveSync connection first, then Wireless LAN connection next and mobile celullar network last.

Thats not easy. You can only use either Wifi or CDMA and there is no hand off between them. A lot of work is being done on seemless handover but it is still a long way away. All I do is fire up WiFi if I know that I am in a hotspot area.

I am using a Socket SDIO WiFi card which works very well.

Handoffs dont concern me at all. I just want to know that when i fire it up, it will choose the cheapest available connection by default (if available).

Certainly this is the case. There's no handover, but I've listed the priority which networks are actually connected if there's more than one available in a specific area.
