Hi

I'm in the process of migrating a customer from BIS to BES and I have a couple of questions:

If i were to enable BES on the phones through vodafone and then do an enterprise activation, will I lose all the phone contacts in the process, or will they get syncronized to the users Contacts folder?

Also, they run CRM 3.0, will all the contacts from CRM get imported into their phone contacts during the enterprise activation process?

Thanks

Sam

Hi Sam,

When you enterprise activate(EA) it may ask you wipe the handset first. I'd advise you back up the all contacts on the handset first, using Desktop Manager software, then do EA. If you need to do a wipe before EA then you can do a restore of the backup contacts after the EA.

Regarding MS CRM 3.0, i believe the CRM contacts database its on CRM server and not the Exchange server. BES only talk to Exchange server, therefore only Exchange contacts database will be populated to the handset.
Cheers.
