Hi, i am trying to connect/sync my ipaq2210 to my PC.
When i try to sync with the cradle windowsXP says "USB device is not recognized".
I think i did everything already, but nothing helps. I also trid to sync it with bluetooth but i couldn't . Maybe somebody has the solution for this problem, i can't think what to do next. Thank you!

Have you installed ActiveSync from the CD?

You may want to download a newer version (the current is ActiveSync 3.8).

Make sure the cradle is not plugged during install. After installing this, reboot and then plug the cradle. Also be sure to plug it directly to a USB port, not to a USB HUB!

freitasm, thank you for your reply, but i already did all those steps you described. At the stage of "discovery" activesync says your device not detected. Before that windows pop-up message "USB device not recognized".

Ok... It could also be that you have either a malfunctioning motherboard (test other USB devices to see if they work) or a defective cradle (try using on another computer).

All other USB devices are working ok. The problem started when i added USB 2.0 to my PC.
Before that everything was working just fine. Do you think this card could affect somehow on USB setup?

I had the same issue with one of these devices and it was a faulty device in the end
