Hi, i was wondering if anyone is using Agile Messenger on the Nokia 6670 on NZ Vodafone?.
It keeps failing to connect no matter what access point i have tried.

I can surf on the net with the access point provided by vodafone.

This should work??. I have had this app running good on N6600, N7610 etc.

If anyone can help i would be grateful

Have you tried the "internet" APN?

To Johnr,
From memory you know alot about the Vodafone network??. I'm just wondering if you might be able to fill in the blanks for me with the access point. I'm a little lost as the access point the vodafone send me does not work.

Connection name can be GPRS internet it does not really matter Data bearer will be GPRS and access point www.vodafone.net.nz, You need to speak to customer service and check that the wildcard APN " * " is on your GPRS parameters. Can you give me anymore INFO on the specs of the handset you are using.

Thanks John,
The Nokia 6670 is actually a fiends phone that i am trying to set up with Agile messenger for him.
As far as i'm aware the 6670 is almost the same as a 7610 just with the different keypad lay out.

Vodafone don't actually stock them, so i'm not sure if this model is fully compatable with the network? - Tho everything else apart from the Agile Messenger works fine, from pxt - web surfing with the access points that vodafone supplied. Also on the Vodafone wireless set up web page it has this phone listed

http://wireless.vodafone.co.nz/m2minternet/

When using the access point with Agile M, the GPRS session starts & connects fine showing the G symbol with the square around it like most Nokia phones - Then it times out and fails to connect on Agile M. So maybe it might be a case of the software and not the connection?. I'n not sure if you are familiar with Agile Messenger? but this is listed as supported with Nokia 6670 so it should work.

Here is Agile Messenger site

http://www.agilemobile.com/downloads.html

Anyway, thanks for your help - i will keep trying to get it to work.

Cheerz

I've use Agile Messenger on Vodafone before, so I know it works. Are you sure your friend's password is correct/correctly entered (those predictive text methods can play sometimes)?

Change your APN adress to "internet" ("gprs" to "internet")
Dont write any name or password.so blank fields.
Try again connect.
or
Change your msn client program.
