i have a treo 90.
it has an IR port. i want to use this IR port to connect to internet.
i have a laptop that also has an IR port and is connect to internet via dsl modem.
i want to do this, pda IR-> laptop iR-> internet.
to acheive this i did the following:
1) configured a dial in network connection in the laptop (this is running XP) and the dial-in connection is listenting to the IR port.
2) in my treo 90, in pref->connection i have
- "IR to PC/Handheld"
when clicked on edit button following is configured
-connected to "PC"
-via "infrared"
when clicked on details button following is configured
-speed 9600 bps
-flow ctl off
3) in my treo 90, pref->network i have
-service "Windows RAS"
-username
-password
-connection "IR to PC/Handheld"
when clicked on details button following is configured
-connection type "ppp"
-idle timeout "1 minute"
-query dns - Enabled
-IP address - Autometic
I don't have any "script" in the script button
now when i tap on connect button in the network option then it shows me the following msg
