Yes, but with small differences in operator configuration, distributed software, software levels.

You mean there are not the same instrument.

I went to the agent of imate and show him my pocketpc phone edition, and he said that it goes by another name, which is XDA II. Is this true

Yes, it is true. They are all based on the same model from HTC, called Hymalaia. As I said there will be differences - the O2 XDAII is branded by British operator O2, but also sold outside the network. T-Mobile also sells it as MDA II. And i-mate branded it as i-mate Pocket PC Phone Edition. You can also find it as QTEK in some countries in Europe.
