Welcome to Geekzone! Is this Belkin adapter specific for PDA2k? There are some pins that have different position depending on the Pocket PC, and instead of charging some cable can actually discharge the battery.

I bought my miniSync cables from Boxwave.

Thnaks for the quick reply.Yes pretty sure its specific to pda2k (the packets in Wellington and i'm in Nelson), the funny thing is, it seemed to work ok on Thusday before i left. Now when I plug it into the car and the
usb nothing seems to happen. It does show on the power indicator that its charging, but its not!

Have you checked the Power application when this cable is connected? Tap Start | Settings | System | Power and it should show Charging. If not either the cable is faulty or the Pocket PC itself. Place the Pocket PC on its cradle and if charges then it is the cable/adapter.
