Hi Everyone,

I have an HTC Universal (aka JasJar) and would like to get it set up with GPS. I don't have a reciever or software so would like to know what people recommend. Has anyone set up a JasJar with GPS here in NZ before?

Thanks!

Chris

It depends what you are going to use the GPS for (Navigation, Mapping??). If you just want to play around you could get a simple Bluetooth GPS and run ArcPad (can download a demo version from ESRI's website - Note if using v6.03 you need the QFE patch to make it work on a WM5 device).

Hi Tokes, it'll be for navigation. I'm new to NZ and we'll be doing a lot of travelling around. Which bluetooth GPS reciever do you use?

Cheers, Chris

I've used an Emtac GPS, but just with ArcPad (for plotting points). I'm not sure about navigation software - hopefully someone else can help you out.
