Hi.  I have recently got a Touch 2. On the tabs along the bottom of the screen, the fifth tab from the left is the one featuring a 'globe' icon. Tapping it opens the 'Opera' browser. I prefer using Internet Explorer and (at the moment) have to open that by using the 'Start' menu. Is there a way of making IE the default browser so that it starts when the 'globe' tab is tapped? HTC gave me a solution, then, when that didn't work, said, 'It can't be done.' Cheers

Assuming its similar to my hd2, open IE , choose Tools/Options/Other/ - Tick  "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default Web browser." -Done
Exit IE -(Menu/Exit) not just the (x) at top right, which will just minimise it .
ReOpen IE and it will ask you if you want IE to be your default browser- choose Yes.

This works for me between IE and Opera (10)

Thabks, Canterbury. Did that. I wasn't prompted when I opened it after making the change, so Opera is still embedded under the (touch) Globe on the Today screen. cheers
