Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a HTC Touch 2 as it seems to be a fairly resonably priced smart phone. I'm interested to know if anyone here has used one on the Vodafone network and what thier experiences of it were. I see that I can buy an unlocked one here : http://www.mobicity.co.nz/htc-touch2.html

Does anyone know what the differences would be between buying an "unlocked" one vs buying the one from the Telecom shop (telecom firmware etc?).

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers,

You're best buying the unlocked one as it will be 3G 900/2100 mhz which is more suitable for use on Vodafone than the XT variant which is 3G 850/2100.

- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P
- AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother)
- Samsung Galaxy S2 on XT- Runs ICS 4.0.3 Resurrection Remix 9.2
- Business Hours - Work In The Electricity Industry, After Hours - DJ/Turntablist - Will Scratch Vinyl For Free'
- What's next??? S3?

great phone although the things that bug me are:

1 - it seems to answer in my pocket without touching it, even when the settings say dont (bug?)
2 - when you do want to answer sometimes no matter how many touches/swipes you try it doesnt or its slow and unresponsive - sounds like usual MS software then!
3 - downloading apps and finding where its put them could be easier!

apart for those little things quite happy i guess.....
