Hello!

I am running a PC with XP Pro (SP2 and all updates installed)
Just bought a Dell Axim 51V and installed the ActiveSync 4.1 with it.

When I sync, I get my inbox, my contacts and my notes but no tasks or calendar.

Also running on the system is Norton AV 2006, SpySweeper 4.59 and MS Giant AntiSpyware

I have added the ActiveSync executables to the exclusion list for both MS Firewall and Norton AV. I have also tried to sync after disabling Norton completely.

No change.

HELP!!!

Thanks,

Tubaman

Welcome to Geekzone... I recommend you check the ActiveSync 4.0 Help on-line.

Next, you might want to run SCANPST, a utility that comes with Outlook, and can repair some errors on your PST file that can prevent synchronisation to happen.

Found an interesting work around.

First .. thank you for the advice on the ScanPST - that found a couple of errors.

I checked the support page - I had already walked through it but ...

Then I found that a new appointment would sync .. just not any existing ones ....

I cleared my calendar and tasks ... and re entered the data ...

Lo and behold they now are in sync with my Axim

Not sure this is the best answer but it seems to work for now.

Thanks,

Tubaman

Good to know it's working, but might not be best approach for someone with a few hundred entries. But if it works for you, great stuff then!
