Hi All,


Can anyone advise me of a PDA (eg. Dell Axim etc...) which will allow me to use an RS232 serial port? I have a unit which i'd like to write a data logging/display application for. I was originally planning on getting an i-Mate but it seems they are not going to support RS232.

An option might be to get an RS232 to bluetooth/wi-fi/usb adapter, but I can't find any which would work with a PDA and are cheap ( < £30 )...

Any Serial-to-Bluetooth adapter will work with a Bluetooth PDA. Plug this adapter to the outgoing port on the device and pair from your Pocket PC.

There is the Socket Cordless Serial Adapter, but you're right, it costs more than GBP50 (about GBP 100 at Expansys).

You can also find USB Gear Bluetooth Embedded Bluetooth Embedded RS232 for just under US$100.

Google returns quite a few pages with "bluetooth serial adapter".
