Hello

We've got an apache that when you try to the t3g connection comes up with there is no modem at the above number, I've done 2 hard resets on it and still get that error message and yet when i compare it against another one the settings are fine. Any ideas?

Thanks

Is this a repaired Apache or a new one?

And are you using the default configuration - no changes?

This problem is not a hardware one, some people using sprints’ ppc 6700 also have the same issue and posted on pdaphonehome: http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66855

The solution listed on that link ("I initiated IOTA (Start/Settings/Phone/Services/Internet/Get Settings.../Start), and HURRAY! my phone provisioned itself and EVDO has been working ever since!") won't work on the TNZ Apache, I just checked and there's no Internet option on the Phone Services dialog.

I would say that your Apache is missing its A12 HDR authentication parameters for EVDO. Not something a dealer can fix and we can't push the parameters to you over the air. I could fix it for you but it would need to come to Wellington so if you want PM me with your email address and we can continue this off-line.

chap_on_a_trip - FYI: Jama is in the industry and is trustworthy to send your unit to!

(Well he was the last time I looked, but come to think of it, his eyes may have been a little close together....)
