No - I don't think so. That is why there is a power connector on the USB cable.

bugger.... I find the trickle charge from USB a most useful feature on short trips.
(It means less cables/AC Adaptors to carry)

Agree - The Apache does it.

I have an Apache which is great h/w (I love the standard mini-usb connector which can trickle charge) but this is a work unit.
I have some programs which can only run on Palm OS (which I prefer to Win Mobile) that I still want to use for personal use, thats why I was looking at getting a Treo 650 instead of running a seperate Palm.

<Dream Mode on>
Maybe they will release the Treo 700p in NZ straight after the US release, at a great price when Im able to upgrade. (And it will support trickle charging through usb cable!!)

The trickle charge USB cable is available for the Treo 650, as an accessory. THe standard usb data cable is shipped in box.

I couldnt see one listed on the Palm website?
Is this a 3rd party product?

Its the travel cable, not the desktop cable. Though it does not state on the site, the point of the travel cable is that it also charges.

Thanks craigbov, the Palm website didnt say it could trickle charge, so I asmumed they wouldnt leave out such an important spec from the "travel" cable.
