I would like to connect to the internet using my Nokia 6255i with the Ipaq 2755. I have followed the instructions at this forum however I am having a problem with choosing a number to dial to access the internet. Is it cdsm or isp? Also the country code, where do I find this? I'm in the United States. Thank you.

Your network operator will give you the username and password.

Who is your operator? A google search may help, or someone here may know offhand.

I spoke with the network operator, which in this case is aol. They say they do not support wireless?
They did say it was possible they just couldn't tell me though customer support and suggested I contact a forum, by the way I pay monthly for such wonderful support. Can someone help? Please.

Nope, your mobile operator (carrier as you say in the US) is not AOL. AOL is an ISP, but your provider will be Sprint, Verizon Wireless, Cingular or some other of these...

If your phone is CDMA the number will be #777 and the username/password will be one that your carrier will tell you. If your phone is GSM then the number will be *99# (or *99***1# where 1 will vary depending on the cellphone configuration) and you will need a configuration string and username password, all supplied by your operator.

AOL is in now way involved with this. Your connection will be provided by the operator, and your Pocket PC will be directly connected to the Internet. From there you will be able to do whatever you want, even connect to your AOL e-mail or other services, providing you know the configuration or have the programs for this.

Okay I have been in contact with my operator (Alltel) a number of times,as of today they have stated that my user and password is qnc. My phone will connect with the ipaq, then start sending/recieving, at this point it disconnects saying that my user and password are incorrect. Please help again.
