HELP!

This keeps happening after setting all com ports to the same (6) setting.
I'm getting pretty agitated and it won't take long till certain devices will learn how to fly.
My OS is Windows XP, I've tried several installations but somehow AS doesn't recognize the Bluetooth enabled iPAQ as an iPAQ.
There is an existing partnership between the two devices.
Starting AS from the iPAQ has no effect other than the small clock rotating for ages.
After giving the ok in the AS Connection Settings screen another screen pops up saying:
"Microsoft AS cannot recognize this device for one of two reasons: *The device was not connected properly. To satrt over blablabla. *The device is not a smartphone or Pocket PC blablabla. Can anyone prevent me from doing something stupid to the equipment?
Many thanks in advance,

Pimmeke

Pimmeke don't start throwing things - they don't have wings!

Can you confirm that your ActiveSync is configured to accept serial connections on the same port your configuration defines as SERVER? This is the Serial COM port in the Local Services tab on your Bluetooth configuration.

Make sure there are no other programs listening the same port at the same time.

The two COM ports are alligned to COM 6. They see each other but it seems as if the AS does not recognize the Pocket PC as being one. Strange because when docked it works flawless.
