I have an old H2200 iPaq. I could not manage to get it to sync up with my windows 7 pc so I bought an SD card to transfer files to and from.

I can complete an excel file on the iPaq and transfer it to the SD card, and then download on my pc, but when I create an excel file on my pc and transfer it to my SD card and insert it to the iPaq it does not recognise the file type and says it does not have an application. It recommends I oipen the application (excel) and then open the file.

Trouble is I can not see how I can open a file from the SD card from Excel, and can not not see how I can move the file into the excel folders to enasble me to open it.

I'm sure there must be a way.

Can anyone suggest how I can get this to work?

Many thanks

Wayne

Your windows version of excel may be saving in an incompatible format. Is it an .xls file?

If the excel file is on your SD card then open pocket Excel then if there is a blank spreadsheet showing then select tools->delete workbook and a file selection window will appear.
Click on the folder at the top left and select All Folders and any .xls files, including the one on your on the SD card, should appear.

Hi, Thnaks for taking the time to help me out.

Seems the problem was that I was saving the files as an excel workbook when I needed to be saving as a 1997-2003 excel format file.

All works fine now when in that format.

Thanks
