Hi all - I'm just wondering if it is possible to use my wireless home network to gain internet access on my Treo 600? I can't for the life of me figure out why I should pay extra, when my PDA is no different than my PC (I've got a router)? Anyone out there have any ideas?? Many thanks for any help you can provide. Sweet!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Treo 600 has inbuilt WiFi so you'd at least need to get an SD WiFi card for it to work

The Treo 600 will access your Internet connection at home if you use a third party software for this.

Oh, wait a minute... You want wireless: in this case you will have to look for a Wi-Fi SD card, but I am not sure there's any for the Treo 600.

Ahhh, so how am I am to connect to Telecom's wireless network? I can access email and the internet... Can I not use the existing capacity of the Treo to do this? Sorry am a newbie at PDAs :)

Telecoms wireless network is CDMA 1X which the treo 600 can connect to. You will need a data plan (never connect to it without one, as the casual rate is very expensive). If you want to go down that route, we can give you more info. This option would use the cellular network, and would work anywhere in the country with 027 coverage.

You home wireless network I assume is short range WiFi (802.11b or 802.11g). To operate on this, basically at no extra cost for usage, you will need a "WiFi SD Card" and it must be compatible with your Palm Treo 600. This, if available for your device, is likely to cost around $200, and will work where ever you have WiFi (home, maybe work, internet cafes, telecom wifi hotspots), WiFi is generally limited to a small area (your home, a cafe etc etc).

Without either of those two options, you must connect via a cable to your PC as outlined by freitasm.
