Hi,

I have a big problem, I have tried to install windows 2003 on my Ipaq 3950, but this have failed. Then I went on the hp forums and a guy was saying that we can put back pocket pc 2002 on the Ipaq by changing the header of the rom 2002 like the 2003 and by renaming the 2002 like the 2003. Then we just have to use the downloader of the 2003 to put back the 2002. Everything work well, but when I have tried to install the update for the SD, the installation failed. After that I had pocket pc 2002, but there was no drivers on my ppc. I can't read my sd, can't use my usb port, can't listen music. My brother have a 3950 to so I have tried to do a backup of his 3950 and to put it back on mine, but it doesn't worked. When I try to install the rom 2002 by the good way, the installer says that I don't have a 39XX. So know I'm waiting my legal version of windows 2003 and try that I will be able to install the new rom on my ppc. If any of you have any ideas please help me.

Thanks

If you have used a non-H3970 ROM to update your Pocket PC you might have a machine that soon will go to HP for a rebuild. Wait to check with the other update.
