hello, i have a tungsten t2, and i want to connect to the internet from it using Webpro. i thought i had all the settings correct, i had my ip address in, my dns address in. Then i go to sign on. it appears to be working, it says intalizing, signing on, then all of a suden it says  error:timeout(0x1212) and if i cancel the sign on, a box comes up and says dns error. what is all this? how can i fix it?     thanks

Welcome to Geekzone... There's not much we can help with, because of little information provided. You should tell us more about this.


For example how are you connecting? Via a cellular network, wi-fi, Bluetooth? If Bluetooth what kind of device is providing the network access?

well, i can connect with my imac G5 using bluetooth, but all i can do is send files between the devices.

And you are trying to access the Internet through a connection sharing on your iMac? If this is the case it won't work. The Mac OS X doesn't provide the support for the type of connection you need.

well, thats not my only option. i also have wireless internet hooked up to my pc in a different room. what other options do i have of making this work? now i know that using it with my mac wont work, but my pc doesnt have bluetooth. what else can i do?

You basically have 3 options:

1. Get Bluetooth added to your PC - either via pci card, dongle or a BT Router.
2. You could purchase a Wifi SD Card for your Tungsten T2 (though I don't know if they still exist for such an old model)
3. Purchase a newer model that has Wifi built into it.
