My KJam today screen always shows 1 unread text message when there are no text messages. Somehow it has got out of synch with it's internal messages database. It's just plain anoying!!

Does anyone have a fix for this ?

Is it the synchronised account? Have you tried Tools | Empty Deleted Folder?

This used to happen in older Windows Mobile devices, but it was fixed sometime ago. There is a freebie program to sync the counter, but I am not sure it works on Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition or newer.

Thanks Freitasm,

The phone Text messages to my knowledge aren't synchronized like the outlook email account. I don't know when this crept into being, suffice to say, it was over the last couple of weeks & may have followed the installation & removal of a couple of evaluation pieces of software - pocket breeze, pocket plus & pocketrss to name a few that I have tried recently. I'll look into the freebie you mentioned.

Got back from holiday & tried your suggested fix..... worked like a treat on my WM5 sys !! One to note that in rare circumstances WM5 is susceptable to this sync problem. Thanks again!

Any other options on this???

I have an exchange account that always lists as 1 unread - looking on my PC doesn't show the same thing. And Tool/Empty deleted is grayed out.

I might have to look at that little application...
