i'm keen to try out this RSS reader, but it requires the .NET Compact Framework to be installed.

The problem is that the .NET download page specifies autosync 4.0 whereas my version is 3.8 and I've been told not to use 4.0 on my ipaq 4350.

Does this mean that I can't instal the .NET thingy?

I liked the look of this RSS reader because it formats the page to the ppc screen, though it is expensive. I'd obviously consider another reader (cheaper perhaps?) so long as it does the same formatting.

Your advice, as always, is much appreciated! :)

I use Ilium Software's Newsbreak in both my Pocket PC and Smartphone. Also tried PocketRSS and it works really well.

Neither require a third party software to be installed, both work in old Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 2003, and they are reliable.

Perhaps this reader would be OK, as it seems to format the page to fit the ppc screen as well (I think).

The software looks good, but I wouldn't use it. It relies on ActiveSync conduits and those are completely different on ActiveSync 4.0 and newer, so it will probably only work on ActiveSync 3.8 and older. Ok for a Windows Mobile 2003 device, but if you ever purchase a new device then you will be out of luck.

Thanks Mauricio - very helpful as always! :)

I see I made my second post without realising you'd already replied to my first one.

I've downloaded PocketRSS and it seems good value for money. I think it's all I need really and Newsbreak is a lot more expensive - and probably more technical that I can cope with LOL!
