Hi people, I had two apache's to upgrade - one went fine but the second one is stuck at the bootloader screen with:

Serial   v1.00

showing (this is probably the problem as it should say USB I think). Soft reset and hard reset (both softkeys + reset) put the machine back to the same state. removing the battery for 5 mins didn't help.  Plugging back into the PC comes up with "USB device not recognised", and running the update again just comes up with communication error.

If any kind person has a fix for this I would be most thankfull! This apache has already been in for repair once, so the owner will be miffed if we have to send it back again.

Thanks,  Matt...

The "Serial 1.0" text is correct. You can plug the device to your computer and restart the upgrade program. It solves most of these problems.

Thanks for your reply Mauricio, have got the upgrade underway again by switching to a different USB port which got xp detecting the phone again - phew!

BTW - it has now come up with USB on the bootloader rather than serial which is what the las one did.

Cheers again,  Matt...
