Evening all,

I have a nice shiny HTC Trophy 7 on the latest firmware update (not Mango beta) and my Zune is behaving weirdly.

If i select to play an entire album the tracks play in the correct order. However if i go into the song's of that artist they are out of order (and not in alphabetical order either), the same applies to playlists. I have an 80 song playlist arranged in alphabetical order, but when i open it on the phone its randomized (shuffle is not on)

In Zune on PC everything is fine, same applies to Songbird. So there is no problem with my Tags.

Anyone know what the hell is going on?

On my phone, the song's for that artist are also out of order. Not that I have cared about this because I play music off playlist which is in order (not alphabetical) as I set it on the zune software.

edit - the songs listing is in order though alphabetically on the phone and you can quickly jump into another alphabet using the jump list.

Turns out the playlist was on random order in Zune and it's now fixed. However i can see no reason why the album songs are incorrectly ordered.

I binged it and it's a common issue. Only fix I know is to either use playlist on wp7 alphabetically, or use the songs section on wp7 which is also alphabetically.

have a read of the below thread. might give you a fix.

That thread is about listing all songs in alphabetical order. I wish to view songs in track order arranged by album the way iPod and even basic MP3 players have done for years. In otherwords i want the Zune to actually behave like an MP3 player and not do its own stupid thing.

Thanks for taking the time to help though

Seems to do it by track number and not by album... Would like a fix for this as well

For me an artist with only one album with complete and accurate tags for track order comes up in a randomized order. It is not alphabetical, it just does it's own thing
